For this year's edition of Night of Ideas, we're exploring the theme, Where Are We Going? Co-presented by Villa Albertine in Texas, the Consulate of France in Monterrey (Mexico), and the IFAL – Instituto francés de América latina, the Night of Ideas in Houston invites the public to explore the theme of dual identity in a territory deeply influenced by both Texan and Mexican cultures. As the 2022 Night of Ideas aims to strengthen the dialogue between cultures and communities, the event will be held in person in Houston at the premises of award-winning bilingual magazine and publisher Literal Publishing. The event will also be broadcasted live in Mexico, co-presented with the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening. What does it mean to be Mexican - Texan– Tejano – or Latina today? Are these definitions still applicable in our increasingly globalized world?
