Light Assembly Duties (primary job): 1. You will be required to fit common components together from provided assembly drawings to make a large range of products for band saw components to lights and laser assemblies. 2. Light assembly of welded metal components, mostly blades and wheel bands. 3. Initial material prep for some metal components that need further external processing. 4. Re-stock parts bins as necessary as well as follow established KanBan system for part reorder. 5. Quality check all assembled products and notify supervisor of defects or assembly problems. 6. When needed handle receiving. 7. Conduct product inspections for quality control on existing and incoming parts. 8. Working with team members for larger orders. 9. Packing of finished products in both retail and shipping containers for shipment. 10. Maintains a clean and safe and hazard free work area. Welding duties (As needed): 1. Welding of metal components, mostly blades and wheel bands for products. 2. Resistance welding experience not required but would be a plus. 3. Maintenance of welding equipment as needed to keep it serviceable. Fulfillment duties (As needed): 1. Gather finished goods for packing and shipping. 2. Generate UPS or Fed-Ex shipping labels per order specs (very little data entry needed) 3. Double check all orders for completeness before packing. Job requirements: You would use a range of tools in your work, for example screwdrivers, pliers, tweezers, drills and basic hand tools. Light lifting is needed. Forklift/High-Low certification is a plus, but not required. Ability to read basic instructions and assembly drawings. Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn and work well with others. Other: As we are a small company there may be other things that we require for your position, not listed here, and based on your skill set. These will be above and beyond your normal duties but not to supersede the requirements listed above which will be your primary responsibility.
