ISLIP, NY - Two Islip High School seniors were among those honored as winners of this year's Suffolk Zone awards. Natalia Cuttler and Timothy Rogers were presented the awards during the annual Suffolk Zone Awards dinner, held on Dec. 3 at Villa Lombardi's in Holbrook.
Every year, the Suffolk Zone Chapter of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance recognizes the top male and female physical education students in each Suffolk County high school's graduating class.
The winners were chosen for their physical education and health achievements, attainment of at least a 3.0 or B average, outstanding character in both classroom and school, exceptional leadership in the school environment, and status as a physical fitness role model for other students.
