SUMMARY We are currently looking for a Full-Time Housekeeper to perform a variety of general cleaning tasks in the Senior Citizens’ Health Care Center ( Skilled Nursing Units) including but not limited to: Sanitizing and cleaning facility and units to ensure that the Health Center is provided with a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and employees. SCHEDULE: • Full-Time, 40 hours per week • Friday – Tuesday : 6:30am – 3pm • Shifts will also include weekends and some holidays as needed KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: • Must speak English well enough to converse with and understand Villa Marin residents • Patience and understanding of the aged • Ability to read and follow basic verbal and written instructions • Physical skills and ability to perform work that requires continual standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds • Ability to comply with work safety practices and guidelines relating to industrial chemicals • Understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets • Skill to handle all housekeeping equipment, power tools, hand tools and ladders • Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital or Senior Health Care Unit preferred REQUIREMENTS Applicants must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must meet health assessment requirements as regulated by the California Department of Social Services.
