This is a very physical and labor intensive position. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or for other reasons. • Check in and out with private event manager upon arrival and departure. • Set all rooms according to BEO. • When setting the rooms; all linens must be clean and free of holes, all tables must be level and in good condition, ensure all table legs are locked, all linens are the proper size, tables are properly spaces and are identical to each other. • Deliver client boxes to their proper event room. • Maintain cleanliness of the banquet rooms and linens throughout the function. • Set up and maintain The Study when there are events with minimal food & beverage requirements. • Inventory and stock supplies including non-alcoholic beverages, operating supplies, small-wares, and linens. • Maintain cleanliness of all private event spaces: clean mirrors & glass, vacuum & mop all floors, spot clean carpets as needed, and alert private event manager when any area needs extra attention from housekeeping or engineering. • Organize & maintain the cleanliness of the back of the house & storage spaces. • Break down empty boxes. • Throw away all flowers and take vases to the private event storage room. • Bring all dirty linens down to laundry at the end of your shift. • Vacuum managers’ office as needed. • Move all furniture with care and insure they do not get damaged and or scratch the floors. • Make sure all private event spaces are show ready at all times. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Must have and be able to do all of the following: • At least 18 years of age. • High school education or equivalent. • Minimum three years of upscale casual or fine dining experience preferred. • Read, write, speak, and understand English comprehensively. • Basic math skills. • Basic computer skills preferred. • Able to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: You must the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations and be able to meet the following requirements: • Heavy member/guest contact is required. • Must be able to tolerate varying noise levels, temperature, and illumination and air quality. • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. • Requires normal sense or smell, taste, touch and sound. • Must be able to respond to visual or aural cues. • Continuously or periodically bend, twist, lean, lift, push, pull, kneel, bend, walk, stand, and/or sit up to 8+ hours per shift. • Lift up to 60 pounds in order to perform the essential functions. • Work in a stressful environment and stressful situations. • Work in an environment where climate constantly changes. • Maneuver freely through all areas of the property.
