Description
We are a construction sub-contractor with a high volume of daily materials delivery. This position will work under our current shop manager as a shop helper - helping unload deliveries, move materials, upkeep shop cleanliness and other shop/warehouse tasks as needed. The right candidate will be focused, self-motivated, takes pride in accuracy and organization, can communicate clearly with office and other staff both verbally and in writing and has basic computer skills to look up orders in the system, make delivery notes etc. Ability to drive a forklift, use of hand tools, attention to safety and familiarity with construction materials required. Knowledge of glass and glazing materials, windows/doors, hardware, extrusions is a plus. Physical requirements: ability to lift/move/transfer over 50 lbs throughout the day, being on your feet working for a full 8 hours.
