MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A Friday morning crash has backed up traffic and closed a section of 14th Street West while the Florida Highway Patrol investigates, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office news release. The northbound lanes of 14th Street West are closed from 57th Avenue West to 53rd Avenue West. MCSO said the roadway "could be closed for most of the morning." Deputies, who are assisting with traffic detour, advise drivers to use 9th Street East and 26th Street West as alternate routes.
