ISLIP, NY - A crash closed part of the Long Island Expressway in Islip on Wednesday afternoon. According to the New York State Department of Transportation website, a crash occurred on the eastbound LIE between Exit 58 - Old Nichols Road and Exit 59 - Ocean Avenue; CR 93 at 3:48 p.m. As a result of the crash, two lanes were shut down.
