Press release from Islip School District: Nov. 19, 2020 Due to COVID-19 restrictions this year, Islip's Wing Elementary School was not able to host its annual PTA-sponsored Fall Family Fun Night where students are given the opportunity to dress up in their Halloween costumes, dance, play games and participate in a pumpkin competition. However, this opened the door for the school's first PTA Halloween Walk About. Students were able to come to school in costume and parade around the gymnasium. "It was such a pleasure to see how excited our students were to be able to take part in this wonderful event," said Principal Michael Giacchetto.
