Here are the top stories today in Denver: Most homeowners that lost homes in Marshall Fire were underinsured. Many of those that are trying to rebuild after the fire have found that they were massively underinsured, to the tune of $179 million. (CO Sun)This may turn out to be the driest April on record. It's been a really dry April for Colorado this year, and that's worsening the already existing drought conditions that has significantly impacted the state's water supply, and it has now spread to Denver. (CBS4) Denver Parks and Recreation closing La Alma-Lincoln Park. The city of Denver has closed the park and La Alma Recreation Center until further notice. This stems from ongoing gun violence in the park — including a recent homicide. (World Now) Should those being evicted get free legal services? A proposal being floated by a group of renter's advocates, called NEWR Denver, would force landlords to pay a portion of the tenant's legal bill. The group hopes to have a ballot initiative for November 2022. (Denverite)Headed to Rocky Mountain National Park next month?
