Special event to honor our own local sports legends and raise funds to support the Muskegon Area Sports Hall Of Fame. The 35th Annual Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Fundraiser is an opportunity to honor our local sports heroes and legends. This year the Hall of Fame will welcome in four new members, another Distinguished Service Award winner and male and female student-athlete recipients. The 2022 Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame induction class is comprised of Abby Cole Hatch ( Volleyball, Basketball), Todd Herremans (Football), Dr. Calvin Johnson ( Basketball, Football, Track, Cross Country), Mike Ribecky (Football). Ken Erny, retired Athletic Director and Hall of Fame Coach at Fruitport Community Schools is the Gene Young Distinguished Service Award recipient. The event will be held at the Mercy Health Arena (formerly L.C. Walker Arena) on Saturday June 18, 2022 from 5:30pm - 10:00pm. In addition to the induction ceremonies, attendees will be provided with heavy hors d'oeuvres - buffet style. Adult beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets are $40.
