REDONDO BEACH, CA — A police investigation and street closure was underway in Redondo Beach, officials said Friday. Officers were in the area of the 1300 block of Amethyst St., just south of Ripley Avenue, shortly after 1 p.m. Friday, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department. The area was cleared about 3 p.m. and no further details were immediately released. People were urged to avoid the area during the investigation.
