Here are the top three stories today in Dallas: The Dallas Police Department reports that a man is in critical condition following a shooting that occurred in a sports bar parking lot. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday morning outside Bombshells Restaurant and Bar off North Stemmons Freeway. The department has made no arrests currently but security footage is being reviewed. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)The Dallas City Council has approved a plan for a new convention center. The issue has been placed on the November ballot for voters to ultimately decide. The Dallas City Council hopes that the new convention center will make the region more competitive while providing a walkable attraction. The proposal will cost over $1 billion.
