LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities are asking for help identifying the guardians of a young boy who was found in a Los Angeles Riverbed homeless encampment Thursday morning.
The boy, who may go by the name Anthony, appears to be of preschool age. He was found at about 10 a.m. Thursday with a male Hispanic in a riverbed encampment near the Long Beach (710) and the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's Department detectives released the boy's photo Thursday night while seeking assistance in locating his parents. Anyone with information about the boy or his parents should contact the Lakewood Station Watch Commander at 562-623-3500 or Detective Delgadillo at 562-254-6176.
