DuPage Community Arts Festival To Feature Artists, Music, Food Trucks

WHEATON, IL — The DuPage County Fairgrounds will come to life May 28 with works by local artists, live musics and food trucks for the first-ever DuPage Community Arts Festival. Artists will have their work on display and for purchase during the festival, which kicks off at 10 a.m. Local painter Lewis Aschenbach will provide a visual arts performance during the event. Musical acts will perform on three separate stages and a beer tent will be open to serve up drinks for patrons. The following musicians are set to take the stage during the DuPage Community Arts Festival: Chicago Jazz Academy DuPage Symphony Ensembles Elmhurst Chamber GroupsIdes of March Muriel Anderson Orbert Davis QuintetRalph Covert and Ralph's World Road Show Inc. Show ChoirSon MonarcasVital Signs"This event will highlight the importance of the arts and the pivotal role they play in driving economic development. A thriving arts community means a thriving DuPage County," Lynn LaPlante, Chairwoman of the Ad Hoc Fine Arts Committee, said in a news release. LaPlante added, "This brand-new initiative gives these talented artists a platform to promote the amazing work they're doing. It's a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and celebrate as a community after a very difficult two years." Presale tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children between the ages of three and 12. Tickets will be available at the gate at $25 for adults and $12 for children three to 12 years old.
