Press release from the City of Jackson: April 27, 2022 The City of Jackson's Public Works Department is closing two bridges in southwest Jackson this week by order of the Office of State Aid Road Construction. Recent inspections found deterioration in one or more wooden piles that support each bridge. The bridges will remain closed until the deteriorated wooden piles are replaced.
