Description

SOMERVILLE, MA — This year, Somerville will offer four flu clinics for residents. The clinics will be outdoors with a walk-up or drive-thru model to maintain safety for both residents and flu clinic staff. Attendees are asked to wear a face covering when arriving to receive a vaccination. Health and Human Services will also be using an online pre-registration system for appointments so accurate information can be collected online and the exchange of papers onsite is limited to add an extra layer of safety. All clinics will offer free flu vaccines for Somerville residents with or without health insurance, ages three and older (children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian), and will have a high dose vaccine for those who are age 65+. Due to limited availability, vaccines will be offered during official flu clinic hours only. While there is no charge for vaccinations, attendees are asked to bring an insurance card if available, including Medicaid cards. The city will add or adjust clinic schedules as necessary, and the most up to date information can always be found on this page. The schedule is as follows: 10/1 (seniors and veterans) - TAB Building, 167 Holland St.10/17 (drive-thru) - DPW lot, 1 Franey Rd.11/3 (walk-up) - ESCS, 50 Cross St.11/7 (drive-thru) - DPW lot, 1 Franey Rd.Preregistration is required.
