Press release from the DBR Chamber of Commerce: April 29, 2022 Gratitude Generation (g2) announced today that Nicki Sutherland has been named the nonprofit's first Executive Director. One of the five founding Board members, Sutherland brings intimate knowledge of g2's programming, fundraising and infrastructure goals. Since g2 was launched in late 2017, Sutherland has served as g2's Director of Operations and Director of Development. "Nicki could not be more qualified to take on this role as she was so intimately involved with Gratitude Generation from the moment of its inception," said Jill Rivkin, Director of Community Outreach. "Her incredible ability to learn new skills, paired with her business acumen and topped with her passion and love for Gratitude Generation will be incredibly impactful for the organization's growth." Sutherland began her career as a high school English teacher, received a master's degree as a reading specialist and taught for 11 years before moving into a sales position where she honed her marketing, technology and client-relationship skills.
