Press release from the City of Douglasville: Post Date:04/29/2022 8:19 AM Mayor Rochelle Robinson, City Council, citizens and community leaders celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony at the newly renovated Willing Workers Community Club Park recently. Willing Workers Community Club was founded in the early 1950s by 12 members, and the land was donated to the city to build a neighborhood park. The park is located at 8085 Thompson Street in the New Horizons Community and has a cement walking track, a gravel nature trail, two picnic pavilions, a basketball court, a children's playground, restroom facilities, and ample parking. The park hours are 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. A special thanks to Mayor and City Council, Ms. Faye Carter Dobbs, our Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Parks and Recreation staff, and our citizens for their continued support in making this beautiful new park a reality.
