Here are the top 3 stories today in Mobile: Two students at LeFlore High School were arrested on Thursday after allegedly bringing guns to school. A district spokesperson says the weapons were discovered by police during a random search conducted using metal detectors and sniffer dogs. The students have been arrested and will be recommended for expulsion, though officials do not believe the incidents were coordinated. (UTV 44)A new state-of-the-art home that will support teen moms in foster care was dedicated on Thursday. The Babies First program aims to help mothers between the ages of 14 and 21 and can house up to 10 moms and 10 infants at a time. The program is funded by the Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention and the Children's Trust Fund of Alabama. (WKRG News 5)City employees joined with other volunteers on Friday morning to help pick up trash in west Mobile. The event was part of the city's community service day and was intended to alleviate concerns about littering, which city leaders say has prompted multiple complaints in recent months. During the event, the city's Urban Forestry Team also worked with community partners to trim trees in the Hillsdale Area in preparation for Hurricane season.
