South County cover band rooted in Classic Rock, various genres of Country, Funk, Pop, and Standards is in search of a new voice to share lead vocals and harmonies. We play out 2X per month on average Fridays or Saturdays. All gigs are in Orange County but will travel for the right gig. We are Lead Guitar &Vocals, Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, Bass Guitar and Vocals, Drums.We've played together for over a decade but have decided to take the band in a new direction. We would like to play more Eighties, Nineties and Pop plus some Classic Rock featuring female leads such as Linda Ronstadt, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Fleetwood Mack. Dixie Chicks. We're open to taking on songs you may already know or have been wanting to perform. We need a mix of listening favorites and popular dance tunes. Sorry, no originals at this time. What we’re looking for: * Talent and singing skills. *Ability to play instruments recommended (Guitar or keys) but not required. * Experience in live performances * Pleasant disposition and ability to connect with audiences. We're not concerned with your age but know that band members are all retired and as such we do this for the love of playing. This is not a business venture. Rehearsal schedule to be determined as we get up to speed as an ensemble. After that, probably a few hours may be needed to go over material based on upcoming gigs. We have a residence we can use on occasion in Rancho Mission Viejo or when that's not available we rent a studio in Lake Forest for a few hours.
