Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any other service is needed. Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs. Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Qualifications: 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred, but not required High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification preferred Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve Enjoy working in a dynamic environment Teammate with the ability to collaborate with others effectively Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Valid driver's license and clean driving record Skills: Mechanic experience Work Location: One location Shop Type: Independent Vehicle Type: Cars and light trucks This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8-hour shift Day shift Weekend availability Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Automotive Repair: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) ASE Certification (Preferred)
