HUNTINGTON, NY — Huntington Hospital on Tuesday announced additional precautions to protect the health and safety of its patients and staff amid the growing number of coronavirus cases in the area. Effective Nov. 30, Huntington Hospital will suspend all visitation — except for extraordinary circumstances — to prevent the introduction of COVID-19 into its facility.One support person for patients in its Center for Mothers and Babies may remain throughout the hospital stay.Outpatient Radiology services are canceled effective Nov. 30.Huntington Hospital's surgical services are fully operational. Staff will shepherd COVID-negative surgical patients through the hospital's established safe pathways; these patients are separated from COVID patients and remain separated from any COVID patients during their entire stay.Click here to read the full story.
