I am in the planning phase of finishing the basement (about 500 sq feet) of my rental townhouse (rowhouse). I am not looking for a fancy basement. I am just looking for a finished basement that is serviceable as, e.g. a family room or an entertainment room (not as a place for overnight stay) without bathroom.
Currently, the basement has sump-pump already installed, which functioned as intended during big storms for the past 9 years. I am looking to further waterproof the basement in such a manner that makes economic sense (i.e., cost < foreseeable benefit) and is not overdone.
A suitable candidate is someone who worked man years for a well-known waterproof company as a waterproof technician in the past, and who can not only implement/install additional water-proof devices/schemes, but as well can provide guidance and design ideas as to, e.g., waterproof materials, or waterproofing approach, being used in connection setting up wall, flooring, ceiling, and etc.
