I have decided to re-home our rabbit after trying to re-integrate her into our family after an incident with our daughter. My daughter got too comfortable and decided to try and hold the rabbit so she could lol mount the window. The rabbit got scared and bite my daughter to get away and was tossed on the couch out of fear. Since the event we have been trying to re-socialize and work with the rabbit but she is fearful of human touch, sound, and prefers to be alone with limited touching. She will come up to you and take treats out of your hand but that is it. I do not have room in my house to give her the quiet, hands off environment that she wants. I have spent months trying to worn with her (not my first rabbit), but feel she would do better in a quieter home or one that has way more experience with fearful rabbits than I do.
The rabbits name is Nelly, we have had her for about 1.5 years. She currently lives in a spare bedroom in a large dog exercise pen and get feee range hay and treats daily with enrichment toys. She is not spayed. She is a blue and white Dutch. We hate to do this, but is not fair to her.
If you think you can river her with a sufficient home please reach out to me.
