HUNTINGTON, NY — Art appreciators, rejoice! A new gallery is heading to Huntington Public Library. Rick Mundy's "Diversity in Watercolors" gallery will be presented from Nov. 1 through Dec. 6.
"Rick Mundy is an accomplished artist in transparent watercolor and specializes in realistic landscapes and seascapes," the library announced in a news release. "His most popular works feature the beaches and lighthouses of Long Island as well as coastal scenes, docks and shipyards."
Mundy is a New York state-licensed guide and avid outdoorsman. He has painted the forests, rivers and lakes of the Adirondacks. He has spent a lot of time in Alaska and is a member of the Alaska Watercolor Society. The beauty of "the Last Frontier" has compelled Mundy to sketch and paint many of its scenes, from its summer beauty to winter grandeur, according to the library.
"I am so looking forward to my art show at the Huntington Library!," Mundy told Patch via email.
