The new hangar, completed in 2018, is a state-of-the-art facility, custom built for the safe and efficient operation of the Flight Department. The Aircraft Detailer / Line Tech position is a customer service position whose primary responsibility will be cleaning and detailing the aircraft. Other duties include supporting all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews and passengers. Detailers / Line Techs require the following: good decision-making skills, the ability to follow company procedures; flexibility in a dynamic working environment; as well as possessing excellent interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with all levels of management. Duties will include, but are not limited to: • Clean interior and exterior of Aircraft • Stock aircraft for flight • Assist in fueling aircraft • Tow and marshal aircraft • Ensure that aircraft are chocked, locked and secure • Aircraft lavatory and potable water service • Load/unload baggage • Assist pilots with aircraft pre and post flight services • Operate ground support equipment • Assist in maintaining ground support equipment • Provide basic security to people and property • Direct people, drivers and flight crews on ramp area • Assist in snow removal when necessary • Keeping hangar interior clean • Assist with hangar exterior maintenance and appearance • Other duties and tasks as required Requirements • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, direct interface, over telephone and in writing • Ability to make decisions with multiple objectives and implement in a safe, efficient manner • Follow oral and written directions; plan and complete assigned duties on a regular schedule; and maintain good working relationships with others • Must be available to work flexible hours including overtime, including weekends when required • Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks including but not limited to: facility cleaning, vehicle washing, aircraft cleaning and vacuuming • Ability to work without direct management supervision • Attention to detail • Must be comfortable with working outdoors, day and night hours, and in all weather conditions • Mechanical aptitude preferred Physical Requirements • Stepping up/down on ladders, tugs and fuel trucks • Lift baggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft, up to 75 lbs. • Bending and stooping to pick up tow bars and other equipment, up to 75 lbs. • Stooping below wings to chock aircraft • Standing and walking for extended periods of time • Good hand-eye coordination with good peripheral vision We offer a stable work environment, modern facilities and a high quality of life location.
