Service Advisor Job Description Broadmoor Garage is one of the leading automotive repair shops in this area. We are proud of our 67 years of operation. We are hiring a talented Service Manager professional to join our team. We are accepting applications for a service advisor position. The position requires the ability to function as the liaison between customers and the auto technicians. As the service manager you will be responsible for: • Communicating with customers the necessary repairs recommended and cost estimates that carefully detail fees for supplies, materials, and time/labor. • Field customer complaints and address their concerns. • Will assign vehicles to the technicians, communicate with the technician, and assist the technician as needed. • Will work with the Parts Manger to coordinate parts ordering as jobs are approved. • Will work with the front office regarding scheduling of customers vehicles and entering data into computer database program. The service advisor: • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office program and general computer skills are mandatory. • Working knowledge and experience of automotive products, repairs, and parts. • Basic mathematics skills to prepare and process estimates. • Ability to communicate complicated automotive processes to customers who may only have basic automotive knowledge and quickly resolve issues when customers change their minds about service work, repairs are running behind schedule or parts arrive late. • Previous working experience as a service technician or a Master Technician Certification is a plus. • A valid, state-issued driver’s license and clean driving record is required. • Must have strong organizational, communications, and people skills.
