Description

Press release from SyntaxNY: June 1, 2020 HHS valedictorian recognized by SCSSA Congratulations to Harborfields High School Class of 2020 valedictorian Aiden Cordero who was recently recognized by the Suffolk County School Superintendents Association for his academic dedication and excellence. The 26-year old tradition, started by the SCSSA, celebrates the highest-achieving high school graduates across Suffolk County. And, despite the global health pandemic which resulted in the early closure of school buildings and the cancellation of the association's annual Valedictorians Luncheon, the students' enviable achievements did not go unrecognized. This year, on behalf of the SCSSA, Harborfields Superintendent of Schools Dr. Francesco Ianni presented Aiden with a commemorative program, congratulatory video, a certificate of achievement and a cherished childhood storybook, "Oh the Places You'll go," by Dr. Seuss. The Class of 2020 video and program featured information about each valedictorian and their plans for the future, including Aiden's plans to study computational biology after graduation.
