WORCESTER COUNTY, MA — A sobriety checkpoint will be held somewhere in Worcester County next week. Massachusetts State Police will conduct the checkpoint Nov. 23 to Nov. 24. Per the department's policy, the exact time and location were not divulged.
Police said the checkpoint is designed to increase awareness about the need to catch and remove impaired drivers from the road. The checkpoint's hours will vary.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the state Highway Division of the state Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.
