SHREWSBURY, MA — Unofficial results from the Nov. 3 election in Shrewsbury show that voters passed the town's two ballot questions by a majority. The town's ballot questions were focused on the proposed construction of a new police station at 100 Maple Avenue and a Community Preservation Act. Ballot question three asked voters whether the town should approve a proposed debt exclusion to complete the proposed construction of a new police station. The project requires a bond authorization of $42,000,000. The passage of the debt exclusion could bring an estimated increase of $212 in property taxes on the average single family home, beginning in Fiscal Year 2022.
