The Branch Supervisor will be responsible for productivity of drivers and yard employees. The Branch Supervisor is accountable for ensuring that deliveries are executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters and for quality control of equipment and vehicles. The position is based in the Phoenix, AZ area and focuses on the shoring industry in the underground construction rental market. Minimum Requirements • Must have previous supervisor experience. • Experience in Trenching, Shoring and Excavation Safety knowledge preferred • Must be willing to work long hours and manage staff, inventory, and DOT related issues • Dedicated, energetic self-starter that is looking for a career in the construction industry • Must be exceptionally self-disciplined. • Possess excellent customer service skills. • Maintain a professional business appearance at all times. • Must be proficient with computers, i.e., electronic communication, MS Word, basic Excel knowledge, data entry into system, smartphones, tablets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Dispatch all daily deliveries and pickups for the branch • Maintain under a 5.0 daily On Hold average for pick ups • Oversee yard production, through yard supervisors • Help yard supervisors to instill organization and flow to daily production • Work daily with yard supervisors on production of orders and timing, in relation to customer delivery times. • Maintain communication between sales, yard, and office on timing for order production and item availability. • Provide quality customer service • Work with office on delivery times, pickups and any serialized items for contract making. • Oversee quality control of all equipment • Maintain inventory levels • Responsible for contacting outside vendors, for ordering parts, repairs, and outside trucking. • Assist in yard and on job sites when necessary • Process/Input of delivery and pick up tickets and file • Perform other duties as assigned Education and Experience Required Skills • High School Diploma or Equivalent • Strong leadership skills • Clear communication skills • Self-Starter/ Excellent organization skills Preferred Skills and Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree is a plus. • At least 5 years of experience in Equipment Rental Sales • Previous experience in operations or other related fields • Strong project and time management skills • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills • Strong leadership qualities • Spanish Speaking a Plus • Experience in Trenching, Shoring and Excavation Safety knowledge preferred • Knowledge of OSHA and DOT guidelines Physical Demands and Work Environment • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. or more. • Flexible and rigorous work schedule • Must be able to perform heavy duty physical activity.
