Hey my name is Russ, I’m a 23 year old male bass and guitar player in the Denver area searching for musicians who want to create a new original sound and record and perform it (eventually). I am pretty versatile, time-flexible, own all my equipment (including a car, my own gear, some recording equipment) I’m very much so about pushing the envelope, and have no interest in our limitations. I’d like to form a band that draws from a variety of different elements. I have a ton influences, and we can talk all day about that, but essentially what I’m aiming for is something on par with the energy of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice In Chains, queens of the Stone Age, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and soundgarden. I specifically mention these artists because their music isn’t limited to just one particular tone. They have multiple sounds that convey a variety of emotions and ideas! Led Zeppelin isn’t just Immigrant Song, Good Times Bad Times, Black Dog, Heartbreaker, and Dazed and Confused. They also play No Quarter, Ten Years Gone, Over The Hills and Far Away, The Rain Song, and Kashmir I’m looking for an open minded all encompassing band that wants to jam, improvise and experiment with the songs and ideas we create! A band that can deliver loud/thrashing/heavy bangers with thundering guitar riffs, all while still being able to showcase slower/moodier/emotional/acoustic material as well. Some of my largest influences include: The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Velvet Underground, Smashing Pumpkins, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana, The Beatles, The Black Keys, Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, Metallica, Mad Season, Dead Meadow, Aerosmith, arctic monkeys.
