Let's crochet some plastic bags . . . out of plastic bags!
The handy plastic bags that most products travel in are usually destined for landfill - but they can also be repurposed into sturdy, shiny, regular-use grocery or other kinds of bags. All you need is a pair of scissors and a crochet hook. We'll go over how to make "plarn" (plastic yarn) and how to start making a simple, single-stitch bag. Crocheting with plastic is harder than using regular yarn, so it's a tough start for beginners, but we can always try our best if you're brand new!
