Join us on our Wildflower Hike led by Board President, Charlie Frisk to spot our early blooming species! Join us on our Wildflower Hike led by Board President, Charlie Frisk. You will leave from Christa McAuliffe Park (3100 Sitka Street) and hike through the Greenway to find some incredibly interesting wildflowers that exist in our urban gem. You’ll learn about skunk cabbage, marsh marigolds, and many other beautiful and fascinating wildflowers, some of which only show themselves in the spring. All ages are welcome! Remember to bring your camera! Meet at Christa McAuliffe Park (3100 Sitka St). Please RSVP! Remember to dress for the weather and be prepared to encounter a few hills and unpaved trails. The Baird Creek Preservation Foundation hosts free guided hikes through the Baird Creek Greenway that are open to the public. The hikes are led by experts in the related area and are a great way to learn, have a little fun and enjoy the outdoors. The Baird Creek Preservation Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the preservation and restoration of the Baird Creek Watershed in order to enhance its value as an ecological, recreational, and educational resource for generations to come.
