Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver Legacy Endowment at Baptist HealthCOVID protocol COVID screening upon arrival Classroom will be arranged to maintain social distancing IDENTIFY - UNDERSTAND - RESPOND Mental Health First Aid empowers individuals to identify, understand and respond to risk factors and warning signs of mental health and addiction concerns. Participants also learn: a 5-step action plan to help someone developing a mental health problem or someone in crisiswhere to turn for support - professional, peer and self-helptopics covered include depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, addiction disordersThe course also teaches about recovery and resiliency – the belief that individuals experiencing these challenges can and do get better, and use their strengths to stay well.
