Symposium Purpose Statement  The Annual Wichita Sports Medicine Symposium is a meeting of multidisciplinary health care providers specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine.  The goal is to address issues related to the treatment and/or prevention of injuries sustained by physically active clients.  The annual symposium is an opportunity to raise awareness of sports injuries and to support the healthcare professionals.  Their goal in practicing orthopedic/sports medicine is to decrease the frequency of injuries, complications and speed healing. End result is ultimately to enhance the quality of life for the physically active client.  The agenda of the symposium is to provide the sports medicine healthcare provider with current information regarding the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of injuries in the physically active client.
