Free Comic Book Day returns to TFAW stores on Saturday May 7 at 11AM! Free comics for the family, huge sales, and creator signings! It’s that time of year again! Free Comic Book Day is coming to TFAW! FCBD takes place this year on Saturday, May 7. Our stores will be opening at our normal time. Everyone who attends FCBD will be able to get up to 10 free comics from the available FCBD offerings. (Max one of each title.) All-ages titles will be separated from older audience ones, so it will be safe for kids to pick what they want. We’ll have limited quantities of some of the smaller titles, so be sure to show up early if you wanted those! Along with free comics, on Saturday and Sunday we’ll be running a 20% off sale storewide on eligible products. (Box customers in good standing will get 25% off.) All single issue comics not on the new release wall or in boxes will also be 40% off. And we’ll have a few special sale items on top of that! Anyone who makes a purchase on FCBD will get a free re-usable bag (while supplies last). Each store will also have FCBD guests, from 11AM - 1PM! Milwaukie customers will get to meet Keith Tucker, a legendary cartoonist who has worked on cartoons such as Transformers, GI Joe, Animaniacs, Duck Tales, X-Men, and Spider-Man. Beaverton customers will get to meet Eryk Donovan, the creator of comic series Heavy, and artist who has worked on titles including Cognetic, Memetic, and Constantine the Hellblazer, and created cover art for series such as Something is Killing the Children, Proctor Valley Road, The Me You Love in the Dark, and many more.
