Brown’s Yacht Yard is looking to expand our yard crew. We are a small, family owned business that has been operating in Gloucester for over 40 years. We have a small crew of employees and many have been here for 20+ years. We are a close knit group and try to foster a fun, easy going work environment while also providing quality marine services to our loyal customers. Our staff has over hundreds of years of experience and we do a little bit of everything to help our community get out on the water. The ideal candidate would be experienced with boat maintenance and repairs. Being a self-starter with the ability to operate power tools, work around heavy equipment and perform general boat maintenance is necessary. Essential Job Functions Include: Cleaning interior and exterior of boats Waxing boats Unwrapping, launching, hauling, blocking, and moving of boats Basic landscaping (mowing, trimming, cleaning yard) Maintaining a clean and safe environment Preferred Experience, but not required: Crane Operation experience Travel Lift operation Experience with sailboats and rigging Mechanical experience and knowledge of 12 volt systems Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record Reliable transportation Ability to climb in and out of boats Ability to stand, kneel, crawl, and walk around and in boats Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Attention to detail a must Punctuality Ability to work with the public and other employees in a courteous and respectful manner This would be a full time seasonal position, May - December.
