This workshop is scheduled for Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Westcott Soundstage in Toledo, Ohio. It will be hosted by photographers Eli Infante and Marco Jilpas. More importantly, it will be limited to 10 participants. Once you purchase your ticket, you will be invited to a private Facebook group where we will be sharing the itinerary and other details. You might be wondering if this workshop is for you. The truth is, photography is always trending on social media platforms that clients, models, make-up artists, and other creatives have access to on a daily basis. We will admit. The market is saturated with people who are eager to learn photography and find unique ways to differentiate themselves from others who are similarly situated. So, how do you stand out? It's not easy. BUT, the more tools you have at your disposal, the more freedom you have to build your own style. Since 2019, we have been hosting workshops in Texas and other big cities in the U.S. We love to teach and hope that the knowledge we share with you during the workshop will inspire you to push yourself to take risks this year. Please take a few minutes to review the FAQs and familiarize yourself with the Terms & Conditions below. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)Q: What is the format of the workshop? A: The Toledo, Ohio workshop is 1 day. During the workshop, we will cover various lighting setups, including using 1 light, multiple lights, color gels, atmospheric fog, and an optical spot with gobos to create unique images. Q: What can I expect to learn? A: Our goal is for you to learn how to utilize flash in a controlled enviroment. When you learn how to control light, you can bring your own visions to life with comfort and precision. Q: Will you be teaching editing during the Toledo, Ohio workshop? A: Unfortunately, no. This workshop is only dedicated to using flash in the studio. However, we host other workshops throughout the year where we teach editing. Q: Do I need to bring my own lighting equipment? A: No, you do not have to bring your own equipment. We will be using Westcott strobes and other lighting equipment and modifiers during the workshop. We will teach you how to control the lights with the trigger that will also be provided. Q: What lenses do you recommend? A: For primes, we recommend the 50mm and 85mm. If you prefer a zoom lens, the 24-70mm, 24-105mm, and 70-200mm are recommended. Q: How much time will each photographer be allowed to shoot? A: We find that a hands-on approach is best while you are learning the fundamentals of using flash in a controlled environment. For this reason, we have limited the Toledo, Ohio 2022 workshop to a maximum of 10 participants. This will provide you with a more 1-on-1 experience with the instructors as well as increase the amount of time each photographer will have to work with the models. Q: Can I bring a family member or friend with me? A: While we appreciate that every photographer’s travel arrangements and overall situation is unique, only participants who have paid the attendance fee will be allowed into the workshop.
