Motorcyclist Seriously Hurt In Hicksville Crash, Officials Say

HICKSVILLE, NY — A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a collision Wednesday afternoon with a car in Hicksville. Around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, the motorcycle hit the rear door of a Toyota Camry sedan as it crossed the intersection of Broadway and West Marie Street, officials said. The Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department and Nassau County police rushed to the crash and took the motorcyclist and the car driver to Nassau University Medical Center. The southbound lanes of Broadway were closed at West Marie Street while crews worked the wreck. Below are photos taken at the scene.
