Suicide Prevention 101 teaches people to identify individuals who are showing signs of suicide risk, and help them get the help they need.
Suicide Prevention 101, formerly known as 'Gatekeeper', is a 2 to 2.5 hour in-person training, using data specific to Northern Nevada. This training increases one's knowledge and understanding of suicide, to recognize warning signs, to identify risk and protective factors, and to increase willingness and ability to intervene with a person at risk for suicide. It will provide insight for interacting with survivors and identify referral resources.
