Description

SHARON, MA — For 65 years, Sally Morandi has been a friend, caretaker and dedicated family member to many in Sharon. As she battles cancer for the fourth time — which requires blood transfusions - the town is pulling together on her behalf through a blood drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross. The blood drive will be Dec. 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Safety Building Meeting room. Morandi is a former nurse who always uses her effusive and upbeat personality to enrich those around her even as she fights cancer. She is a faithful member of the First Congregational Church Choir, where she has sung for decades. "Help us to honor Sally, and all others that are in need, during this season by considering giving the gift of life," Sharon police posted on their Facebook page. Those looking to donate can use this link to reserve a donation time on Dec. 28.
