The Wild &Scenic Film Festival & Outdoor Earth Day event features a free screening of “Inspiring Adventure “ films, a green market & more! Main Street Pops and The Hoboken Business Alliance are excited to present... Hoboken's Wild & Scenic Film Festival and Outdoor Earth Day Celebration 2022! Kicking off at 3pm on Saturday, April 30th, this all-day, in person, outdoor community event will have something for all ages. Come join us on this Inspiring Outdoor Adventure! DAYTIME PROGRAM- Earth Day Festival! (from 3-7pm) Green Artisan Market with local sustainable vendors, LIVE MUSIC featuring The Demolition String Band, Nature-themed art classes and craft projects, a live beekeeping demo, Composting 101 tips, outdoor exercise class, live reptile and bird shows and more! All leading up to the main event... The Wild & Scenic Film Festival !**EVENING PROGRAM- FREE Outdoor Film Screenings at Jackson Plaza!** (From 7-10 pm At 7th & Jackson Park, Hoboken, NJ) 7pm: Local Highlight – Hoboken’s own Branding Shorts’ award-winning film, “Mile in the Eye”, a local film about Hoboken’s response to the COVID pandemic. Listen to a Q&A with locals featured in the film; Mayor Bhalla and Melissa Gigante of the Hoboken Police Department, plus the filmmakers from Branding Shorts. This will be followed by a special screening of the short film. Moderated by Chris O'Conner, Founder of Mile Square Theatre. 8pm: “Inspiring Adventure” Film Screening- Featuring a 90- minute collection of uplifting and beautiful short films that illustrate the Earth’s Beauty, all of the exciting adventures to be had enjoying nature, the challenges facing our planet, and the work communities are doing to protect it.
