SHARON, MA — Sharon has confirmed 21 positive tests for the new coronavirus in town as of Tuesday. The Sharon Health Department announced the cases as part of the town's resource and information guide for residents. Sharon held a successful food drive on March 21 and March 22 to collect donations for local food banks. Those in need of donations can go to here for pantry requests or here for assistance needed. Sharon also thanked the New England Patriots and Kraft family for their donation to the Sharon food pantry. Baker's announcement that non-essential businesses in the state are ordered to be closed in their physical locations through May 4, all town buildings will remain closed to the public. Town departments will continue to work on a reduced schedule Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Officers are not staffed on Friday. Department contacts can be found here.
