Composer, Jazz quintet leader and piano soloist, Ivan Dalia was born in Teverola, a small industrial town near Naples, Italy. He is blind from birth. From the start Ivan made music his life, attending the Conservatory of Music in Naples from the age of 11, graduating in piano and composition in 2016 with the highest honours. Ivan has participated in many Jazz Festivals. His stand out experience was Marechiaro Jazz Festival, 2006 where he played and improvised with the jazz harmonica legend, Toots Thielemans. Ivan is an accomplished composer for the screen and visual arts. He has provided the soundtrack for several short films and in 2011, he composed the musical soundtrack for the trilogy of installations “ROSAS” by film-maker and artist, Marinella Senatore, which premiered contemporaneously in the UK, Germany and Spain.
