Nassau Crash: DWI Charge After Oyster Bay Town Driver Injured

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Jeep driver has been arrested and charged with DWI in a two-vehicle crash that injured the driver of a Town of Oyster Bay car. The Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department was called around 2 p.m. Thursday for a car that crashed into a house near South Oyster Bay Road and Field Court, officials said. Firefighters discovered that a Jeep collided with a Town of Oyster Bay car, then crashed through a brick wall and a fence. The Jeep stopped feet away from the gas service of the home, officials said. The driver of the Oyster Bay town car was taken to a hospital. No one was seriously hurt, Nassau County police told Patch.
