Fun Event - Volunteer Help Needed during May 6-8

New Living Expo is a health conference at the San Mateo Event Center. The dates are May 6-8 with a set up day on Thursday May 5. The address for the Event Center is 1346 Saratoga Dr, San Mateo, CA 94403. We ask that you commit to a four hour shift. You’ll be on your feet the whole time. In exchange, you’ll receive a free General Admission pass which you can enjoy after the shift ends. Info on this event can be found at NewLivingExpo.com Shifts for each area: some include working in the bookstore with restocking, helping the manager and the customers. Also, other shifts may require walking through the aisles of the exhibit hall with a sign saying ‘Information’ and answering attendees questions, such as where’s the restroom or cafe etc. Other shifts involve being a ‘room monitor’ You will stay in a curtained lecture room during a 45 minute lecture, count the people in the room, take notes in a notebook with the count, remind the speaker when their 45 minutes are almost over, etc. Other similar event duties may be asked of you. We ask that you be accountable, focused on customer service, and be flexible as event needs can change. When you’re through volunteering, you’ll enjoy an lively event with a lot of wonderful people providing useful information on health and wellness. You might even find yourself doing a little shopping, with all the wonderful products being offered, such as clothing, crystals, jewelry, and much more.
