Moved here from San Diego last summer. Working musician. Was gigging weekly in SD until covid. Been looking for open jams to meet people but haven't found much. Been working on solo bass arrangements, but really missing jamming. Favorite style is funk. I'd love to get a PFunk band going if there are any Maggots out there. I could swing with some Disco Funk stuff. I know a lot of Earth Wind + Fire type from a 70's cover band I play in. Lots of experience in blues. Used to be an on call bassist for a number of Blues guitarists in SD. I can play Jazz, but I like heavy grooves more. Also a big Strokes and Bowie fan, so I'd be down to play some punk/indie stuff. I played in a top 40 cover band too, so I can play Bruno Mars all day. Also looking for a church to play at. I like Anita Wilson, Tye Tribbett and William Murphy to name a few. Mainly just want to play some music and break into the scene here. So many bands I've seen just play with an organ player doing the left hand thing. Which is great, don't get me wrong, but it'd be cool to get some electric bass in there. I just wanna play man! Originals, covers, I'm johnny on the spot. I've toured internationally, my original band won Best Rock Band San Diego Music Awards along with lots of nominations and I've been playing for 22 years.
