Description

This is a hands-on gardening & cooking class for 7-11 year olds. They will work in the garden then go into the kitchen and learn to cook. They will be learning valuable skills in the garden and the kitchen. Planting, soil preparation, container gardening, weeding, insect control, good bugs verse bad bugs, companion planting, harvesting then off to the kitchen to use products that they harvested. In the kitchen they will learn kitchen safety, spice identifying, recipe writing, and so much more. After 4 weeks they will write a recipe and prepare it for the 6-week competition. The winner's food will be prepared for our Farm to table Dinner the evening of the 7th week July 21 at 6:00. With an award ceremony. Class is every Thursday from June 9-July 14 from 10:00 to 12:30
